The short answer is: we all wear spectacles by a small Danish company called Lindberg. You want to know why? Is it because they have a fancy label on the side that is “in”, “trendy” or whatever? Is it because they are so expensive that only the rich and famous can afford them? The answer to all those questions is no. I must admit, Michael Jackson’s music is not particularly my kind of music, but there is no question he sure was an incredible entertainer and had an incredible carreer. His death on Thursday made me think back to a time when I did listen to his music. This was many years ago, I admit, probably more that 30 years ago. I remember him as the little, lovable guy of the Jackson 5, with songs like “I’ll be there” and “ABC” (I was only a year older than him, so could I not admire him then?). Later I pretty much lost interest in his music, but I do remember him doing a song with Paul McCartney (was it “The Girl Is Mine”?). I did like that song. ... read more
