Well, just recently we found an exciting range of laminated acetate frames and felt we definitely had to add some of the frames to our collection. It doesn’t happen very often, but every now and again, we see something that really catches our eye. These frames certainly fall into that category. Here are some of the new Lindberg Acetanium frames that were introduced just in September this year at the International Optical Fashion Fair SILMO in Paris. They are now available in the shop and we challenge anyone to find nicer, lighter and more comfortable plastic frames than these Acetaniums. The material Acetanium combines the lightness and comfort of the Lindberg titanium frames, with the creative and modern look of retro plastic frames. “Your frames are all so different compared with what I see at other places”. Well, we certainly hope so. Many of our frames are exclusive to our store and are not available at your ordinary optical shop. Why? Because we go out of our way to find frames with the X-Factor. Lindberg Spirit frames certainly have the X-Factor without being over the top. What makes them so special is that they are so light, so strong, so unobtrusive, so comfortable, so WOW! One model, just recently introduced at SILMO Optical Fair in Paris is the 2155 with bottom mounted temples and colour inlay in the actual lens! This gives the impression that there is a fine rim around the lens, when in realty it is a true rimless frame. The frame alone weighs in at 1.9 grams, quite unbelievable but true! As with all Lindberg Spirit frames, there is absolutely no weld or screw used and the wires are made from pure titanium with nose pads and temple tip covers made from surgical silicon. Received a real gem from JFRey today. This unisex frame could not be reflecting the spirit of New Zealand any more than it does with it’s paua shell insert in the temple.
