Coming to the rescue - our First Aid Service Wouldn’t you agree that accidents usually happen when you least expect or need them? Of course they do. This also applies to glasses. It makes no difference if it’s a standard Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, Christmas Day, or New Years Day. If you do have an accident with your glasses it will most probably happen on one of those days. How do I know? Easy, because every Monday or Tuesday the emergencies arrive in our workshop for first aid treatment.Today is no different, in the contrary. After the long New Years Weekend, there seem to be a lot of “unlucky” glasses and sunglasses wearers about. Could be an indication that the partying did get out hand, who knows…..

Some of those “accidents” are easily fixed. This includes lost screws or re-alignments of frames and sunglasses. Others might require invasiveĀ  surgery (solders) or even limb replacements (lost or broken sides, nosepads etc.). Still, in many of those cases we are able to help out, even to the extend where we replace scratched lenses or replace whole glasses. It’s only the ones that are “dead on arrival” (DOA) or the ones drowned and lost at sea that we may not be able to apply our rescue skills.

In the case of the DOAs let us make the decission if any rescue efforts could be of benefit. So please, if you do have an accident with your glasses, bring them in and let’s see what we can do for your babies.

Minor repairs we’ll do for free (that inludes replacing lost screws, nose pads and temple tips – the things at the end of the sides) and if we do have to charge you, it’ll be a small fee compared with the pain of having to pay for completely new glasses.
