Blinking is the body’s natural way of replenishing the tear film and providing relief from dryness. Unfortunately, blinking isn’t always enough for people who experience dryness associated with contact lens wear. Today we want to share with you some advice we give to our own contact lens clients. With those who wear soft, extended wear or disposable lenses we have made the experience that wearing comfort is considerably improved with a couple of drops of “Renu Lubricating & Rewetting Drops” prior to insertion of the lenses and repeating this a couple of times during the day. If you use extended wear lenses, this solution can also be used to rewet your lenses after sleep. This also works very well with daily disposables. Even though daily disposables don’t have to be cleaned and will be discarded after only one wear, the use of Renu Lubricating & Rewetting drops is usually experienced as refreshing and an improvement in comfort.

We advise that the use of drops be discussed with your own eyecare professional, in particular if you feel you need to use the drops more than, say, 3 or 4 times a day to keep them comfortable, or if you are allergic to any of it’s ingredients.
