Love_Your_GlassesIt’s incredible, really, how we all seem to get quite attached to everyday things. For many women these items typically include shoes, handbags and jewellery – men on the other hand can get excited about cars, motorcycles and boats (they sometimes even get named!). For our iPhone and MP3 player we get special covers to protect them from getting damaged. Lovingly we call these covers “skins”, some are even made from luxurious leathers. So why is this? Why can we get so attached to every day items?

We think it is probably because we develop an emotional relationship with these items – because they are of exceptional value to us and because they are beautiful. So what about our glasses?

Think about the importance of your glasses for a moment.

Your glasses are where you are. Everything you experience, you experience with your glasses. Whether you go to the movies or watch a rugby game, whether you go to a theatre performance or travel foreign counties – your glasses help make these experiences real pleasures. In fact your glasses become part of your personality.

Yesterday I came across a web page from a German frame manufacturer by the name of “Freudenhaus” which summed up exactly how Claudia and I feel about quality eyewear and the real value our glasses provide. As the website is in German, here is the English translation:

You live with your glasses

You love with your glasses

You dance with your glasses

You laugh with your glasses

You sing with your glasses

You philosophise with your glasses

You eat with your glasses

You drink with your glasses

love your glasses

treat them with dignity and respect because they are part of you

and take them off kindly when you go to bed!

We at Claudia K love our glasses and consider it our mission to help provide you with glasses that have more personality, passion and emotion……
