I must admit, Michael Jackson’s music is not particularly my kind of music, but there is no question he sure was an incredible entertainer and had an incredible carreer. His death on Thursday made me think back to a time when I did listen to his music. This was many years ago, I admit, probably more that 30 years ago. I remember him as the little, lovable guy of the Jackson 5, with songs like “I’ll be there” and “ABC” (I was only a year older than him, so could I not admire him then?). Later I pretty much lost interest in his music, but I do remember him doing a song with Paul McCartney (was it “The Girl Is Mine”?). I did like that song.
No doubt the guy had style, there were his military style uniforms, the withe glove and of course his sunglasses. He had a painting commissioned that shows him with other iconic characters featuring just that glove and those aviator sunglasses. Michael you were a pretty weird guy and you sure were the King of Pop.
