We are quite proud to be able to carry some of the most exclusive brands available today on the international spectacle frame market. We take particular care when deciding which range of frames we will add to our collection. MYKITA is a brand we are particularly glad to have.

It is a German eyewear brand that was founded by Harald Goffschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans and Moritz Krueger in Berlin in 2003. The four were at the creative and managerial core of the successful ic! Berlin eyewear brand, which they left in the September of the same year to embark on their own creative adventure: MYKITA.

Just a year later, the MYKITA Collection No.1 was introduced – an evolutionary step up in terms of both design and exclusivity. The designers had created an innovative, highly functional design comprising of simple plug connections that made complex soldered joints and screw connections redundant while the frames themselves were cut out of stainless steel before being folded into shape. As well as being incredibly light, the frames can be adjusted to the wearer thanks to a wide variety of configuration options.

The latest introductions include the “Concord” (not related to “Flight of the Conchords”) and the “No. 2″ collections. The “No. 2″ collection is MYKITA’s re-interpretation of the classic acetate frame, wonderfully made with an ingenious hinge system never seen before on any other frame. The models of the “Concord” range use a combination of stainless steel fronts similar to the “No. 1″ collection with slightly thinner and more elegant acetate temples that are fitted the
trademark hinge of the “No. 2″ collection.
