Summers in the Nelson region are legendary. That’s mainly why we are here, right? Just looking out the window now, I can’t see a single cloud in the sky. Although the temperatures are still a bit nippy, most people in Motueka have reverted back to summer clothing. Positive thinking! Also, since last week our new sunglass ranges have started to come in and I will introduce some of them here as they actually arrive. This morning, a variety of new models from the Marco range came in and as usual, they are all outstading.

Made from the finest acetate material, they are all wonderfully made and extremely comfortable to wear. All our Marco frames are fitted with polaroid lenses and can of course also be fitted with polaroid prescription lenses in single vision, bifocal or progressive powers. Many of the new styles wrap around nicely and cover the wearer well from any sort of glare or direct sunlight. When fitting prescription polaroid lenses to these frames, we use special “wrap compensation” techniques that allow us to produce prescription polaroid lenses with similar front curvatures to non-prescription lenses. This, combined with high performance polaroid tints, will give you real “prescription sunglasses” as opposed to just “prescription glasses tinted”.
