At Claudia K Opticians The very first customer we had on the morning of May 20th, 2009 (the first day we were open for business) was a local lady who had lost one of the nosepads of her glasses. When she came into the shop, she looked slightly distressed and her glasses were sitting lopsided on her face. A very sore spot had already  developed on the left side of her nose. She had been putting up with this for a number of days, simply because she thought she was in for a new frame and for a big expense.

Well, to replace a nose pad is not a big job and can always be done “on the spot”. The same applies to lost screws and general frame re-alignments. All the little things that can be just such a nuissance. We made a conscious decision not to charge for these “small repairs” and are happy to provide this service to all customers whether they have purchased glasses from us before or not.

Needless to say, that after replacing both nose pads on her glasses for free, re-aligning her frames and giving it an alround clean, we were able to get the smile back on our very first customer’s face.
