Kodak Unique with Anti-Fatigue Technology, 1.67 High Index CleAR CoatAs mentioned in an earlier post, Kodak have introduced a new progressive lens with “Anti Fatigue Technology”. Claudia and I were invited to attend a seminar where the philosophy and manufacturing process of this new approach to “anti-fatigue” progressive lens design was explained. For us as practicioners it is very important that we stay on top of technological developments not only on frame design, but in also on lens design. I really like the idea of rimless eyeglasses. It’s a pity they are not suitable for me.” That is a comment I heard today from a client who was looking at our collection of Lindberg Spirit frames. Well, it was finally here – our first day in our new optical shop. It promised to be an interesting day, because we had absolutely no idea how it would develop and what we had to expect. The hard work of getting everything inside the shop exactly as we wanted it was over and now the fun could begin. Easier said than done, because we had not told anyone that today was the day. No advertisement in the paper, no listing in the yellow pages, no grand opening yet, no nothing. Would anyone realise that we are actually there? ... read more
