This week was an exciting week for us. Those of you who have been in the shop will know that the LINDBERG range is our pride and joy. Claudia and I have been wearing LINDBERG frames for years, mainly from the “Spirit” which is a rimless design and probably the lightest frames on the market. Yesterday however was special. The Hon. Phil Goff, leader of the opposition, visited Motueka today. The occasion was the opening of the new electorate office of Labour List MP Damien O’Connor. Mr. Goff spent most of the afternoon in the area and took the opportunity to visit, amongst others, Woollaston Estate, Mahana School, Motueka High School and Claudia K Opticians. Only a few days ago I announced that we were about to add the “orgreen” range to our collection of frames and today the first frames have arrived in the practice. I don’t know why it is, but Danish frame designers seem to be getting it right. We’ve been carrying the Lindberg range of frames for quite a while now and we have recently also added the Bellinger range to our collection of frames. While at Sydney’s ODMA Fair last month I also had a chance to see this outstanding Danish range of Titanium spectacle frames – “orgreen”. The creators of this range, like Lindberg and Bellinger, also work with top grade titanium. What immediately stands out with the “orgreen” are the sculptured fronts and sides of the frames as well as the really refreshing use of colour. ... read more
