CLAUDIA K is a locally owned, family operated optical store specialising in the art and science of selecting and dispensing stunning eyewear.
The store in central Motueka was opened in April 2009. In the days of global chain stores there must be an alternative for those still looking for world-class eyewear and expert advice on the art of eyewear selection.
Our desire is to create a stimulating environment from which we can deliver our knowledge & passion for eyewear - an environment that is both, inviting and refreshing - an environment that allows us to show you how to select inspiring eyewear you will love and treasure - an environment where you will be assured our undivided attention - and last but not least an environment where it is a pleasure to work.

Claudia first started in the optical field way back in 1987. She qualified as a Dispensing Optician and was registered as such in New Zealand in 1997. Until 2005, Claudia was co-owner of several optical stores in the North Island and one of New Zealand's largest online contact lens replacement companies.
Reiner Kuske
Co-Owner, Dispensing Optician
Reiner gained his qualification as Dispensing Optician in Germany in 1982. He was registered in New Zealand in 1986 and together with Claudia has owned and operated successful optical stores in New Zealand. Reiner is involved in voluntary work for the Fred Hollows Foundation. He has recently returned from East Timor, where he was (and still is) involved in delivering optical dispensing and technical training for local trainees.
